Partnership with MIDEL ester fluids in Australia and New Zealand

As of 1 June 2020, Insulect has reestablished a partnership with MIDEL, the world’s leading brand of ester transformer dielectric fluids. 

Insulect are now the local partner in Australia and New Zealand for MIDEL, providing eN 1204 Natural Ester and 7131 Synthetic Ester fluids for Utilities, Transformer OEMs and other transformer owners and operators.

MIDEL Ester Fluids Range

MIDEL eN 1204 is the premier natural ester transformer fluid. Made from sustainable rapeseed/canola oil, it has a pour point of -31°C (much lower than soya-based ester fluids), is readily biodegradable, non-toxic and is FM and UL approved.

MIDEL 7131 is the world’s leading biodegradable synthetic transformer fluid – the only synthetic ester with FM approval. 

Both ester fluids are used in power and distribution transformers to deliver fire safety, environmental protection and cost savings. 

MIDEL 7131 is suited to a wider range of applications, including free-breathing transformer designs and in demanding sectors including Renewable Energy, Traction, Mining, Marine, Underground and for Retrofilling.

Local Technical Support and Stock Warehousing

As MIDEL’s local partner, we provide technical support during product evaluation, specification, as well as during installation and retrofilling.

We ensure timely access to product via local warehousing of bulk fluid supplies on both east and west coasts of Australia to support contract customers and urgent requirements.
